STRyNG / THE FUTURE OF CONNECTED-LOCATION
How connected-location works.
Your people. Your places. Your plans.
Connected by what matters, where it matters.
STRyNG (pronounced “string”) connects your people, places, and plans through intelligent location technology. Connected-location is our vision for making the places in your life relevant to the things you want to do—and the people you do them with.
01 / A PLACE, UNDERSTOOD
Knowing when a place matters changes everything.
A place is more than a point on a map. The surrounding roads, intersections, and nearby destinations help shape what “nearby” means.
We’ve built location models that consider a place and its surroundings to help determine when it becomes relevant to your plans. The goal is a useful connection between where you are and what you want to do there.
02 / CONNECTION, IN EVERYDAY LIFE
The right place.
A more useful moment.
Today, STRyNG brings connected-location to life through personal and shared reminders, lists, and notes on iPhone. Choose the kind of location nudge that fits your plan.

A nudge to pick something up when you’re near the place you need. Connect the errand to a useful opportunity in your day.
As you get there.
Think of something while you’re out, then get a nudge when you arrive home. The plan meets you where you can act on it.
When it’s time to go.
Tie a task to leaving a place. Your departure becomes the moment to reconnect with what comes next.
Keep your people in the plan.
Share reminders, lists, and notes with a dedicated chat, and add location-based alerts to shared plans. You can also tie reminders for close friends and family through STRyNG’s sharing features. The connection brings the task, its context, and the conversation together.

Intelligent location.
Designed with battery life and privacy in mind.
Broad awareness. Brief precision.
Battery life is a core consideration in how we build STRyNG. Our intelligent location models maintain a high-level understanding of where you are, reserving brief, precise location checks for moments when a place becomes relevant.
This selective approach keeps background activity light and minimizes battery drain, without tracking your precise location every second of the day.
There when it matters.
With the required permissions in place, your STRyNG reminders surface even when the app is closed. Background location intelligence connects the plan you made earlier to the moment you need it.
Privacy is a core consideration as we build these connections. People you choose to share with may see reminder content and related details, depending on the feature.
